Concerned Eminent Stakeholders Forum (CEESF) pays a courtesy call on the Executive Chairman, Esan West Local Government Hon. Amb. Collins Aigbogun 

The Steering Committee and members of the Concerned Ekpoma Eminent Stakeholders Forum (CEESF) paid a courtesy call on the newly elected Esan West Executive Chairman, Hon. Amb. Collins Aigbogun on Tuesday 2nd October, 2023 at the Council Secretariat in Ekpoma. Addressing the LG Chairman, the Convener of the Forum, Comr. Dr. Jude Obasanmi gave a brief of the Forum and her achievements since inception in 2017. He informed the Chairman about the role the Forum played that lead to the provision of operational vehicles to the Police Command in Ekpoma by the Former House of Rep member,  Hon. Joe Edionwele and the Management of Big Taste Fast Foods Worldwide. He also enumerated the efforts of the Forum in advocating for the stoppage of incessant estimated billing by BEDC, interface with government officials and its agencies both at the State and Federal level on the repair and reconstruction of roads in Ekpoma, organized a workshop for bike riders, market women, artisans, tribal groups, etc on how to effectively engage government and her agencies in a civil manner, collaborated with the former HOS of the Council Engr. Emmanuel Ibhadode to mount barricades in some areas within the metropolis to stop the influx of heavy duty trucks using the Ekpoma roads as exit point because of the current state of the federal road along the Benin/Auchi express way etc. The Convener also informed the Executive Chairman of issues that require his urgent attention which borders on the following: Education, Security, Health, Waste Management, Water, road maintenance which also includes the construction of barricades to avoid the heavy duty trucks plying our roads etc. He also informed the Chairman of the negative activities of the Taskforce set up by the new council management to protect the roads against heavy duty trucks and called for due monitoring of their activities. Furthermore, he appealed to the Chairman to always work with the Forum in areas that require professionalism,  technicalities, advocacies and monitoring. According to him, the Forum shall work with the Council to make Ekpoma a better place.  

In his response, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Amb. Collins Aigbogun, thanked the Forum for finding time to pay him a courtesy visit and acknowledged the areas of concerns raised by the Forum. He informed members that he will be a month old in the office by Wednesday 4th October, 2023. He added that he will carefully look at the presentation made by the Forum and respond accordingly. He appealed to the Forum to join hands with him in making Ekpoma and its environs a better place.
